We contribute to following UN sustainable development goals.
“Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all.”

For the least developed countries, the economic target is to attain at least a 7 percent annual growth in the gross domestic product (GDP). Achieving higher productivity will require diversification and upgraded technology along with innovation, entrepreneurship, and the growth of small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Some targets are for 2030; others are for 2020. The target for 2020 is to reduce youth unemployment and operationalize a global strategy for youth employment. Implementing the Global Jobs Pact of the International Labour Organization is also mentioned.

Social enterprises create jobs while creating social impact through its economic activities. It is a vital contributor to inclusive and sustainable economic growth.

“Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.”

In most countries, the formal education system has difficulty keeping up with the rapid change in our work environment. Most high school and college graduates are smart and well educated but not ready for a job. Graduates complain that they cannot get a job and companies complaint that they cannot find qualified candidates. Aster Impact believe in building capacity and capabilities in individuals and organizations enabling them to achieve what they want to achieve in life through life-long learning.

Aster Impact’s education program not only teaches people how to plan, start and manage a social enterprise but many other practical skills needed to be a contributor in their community and economy.

“Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.”

Women are underrepresented in the workforce in most countries and often underpaid and stereotyped for certain positions. Women’s full and effective participation and equal opportunities for leadership at all levels of decision making in political, economic and public life are still a long way to go. The use of enabling technology, in particular information and communications technology, to promote the empowerment of women needs enhancement.

Aster Impact actively work with various organizations to develop and empower women in the workforce, leadership, and board level.
